REAL WEDDINGS
Jason and Tamara
Tamara and Jason , a truly lovely couple whose wedding ceremony moved me to tears, it was so beatiful and full of love. They were married at the Heritage City Community Church in Ipswich. third of December 2005.During the ceremony both Bride and groom played in their church band. It was music and their church that brought the pair together and no doubt the same will remain strengths in their lives together. After the ceremony an informal gathering was held next door in the church hall for friends and family. Followed by a small family lunch at “ Peppers “ , at Hiddenvale.
Rick and Christy
The 29th of October 2005 was the day we chose to get married. Not too hot, not too cold and little chance of rain. As it turned out it rained the whole week before our wedding up until the night before the wedding. This actually worked to our advantage as we got married on a 10-acre property at the bottom of Mt Tamborine called “Greenacres”. Due to the rain the whole property was so green and the lake was full. Perfect for beautiful photos.
When you drove into the property the driveway was surrounded by nearly 20 huge palm trees. To the right of the driveway was a beautiful big lake, which is, where we chose to have our wedding ceremony – by the lake. To get to where the reception was being held guests had to walk up a big hill to the top of the property. The reception was held on the helipad under a huge marquee. At night you could look down the hill and see the lights shimmering on the lake and from the road you could look up and see the beautiful marquee and the lights. Perfect really. There was also a bridge across a small trickling waterfall and some old cattle ramps on the other side of the property, which made the property very unique, and were both perfect for photo opportunities. We chose to get in a mobile caterer. We chose AAA Catering on the suggestion of a work colleague. The food was scrumptious and they brought everything to the property and we served our guests from the big shed that stored the helicopter. The caterers served starters to our guests up on the grassed hill at the top of the property while the bridal party was having photos taken. We chose Robert from R & B Creative photography to do our wedding snaps. The first day we saw his work we knew he was the photographer for us. Robert went above and beyond the call. He organized a pre-wedding shoot to get us started. He then met us out at the property before the big day to work out what we wanted and how the day was going to go. On our wedding day Robert worked in with us and was so easy to get along with. Our bridal party did not stop laughing all day as Robert was into fun shots and bringing out the characteristics and cheekiness of each person. Our wedding album was beautiful and people just gasp when they see it, as it is also very unique and just beautiful.
For me the best part of our day was after Christy walked down her green grass aisle and stood beside me, to hold hands, it was the start of our lives together, we were blessed, surrounded by family and friends. (Ricky) For me there were lots of favourite moments in the day but one of the most special was that my father not only walked me down the green grass aisle but that he also performed the ceremony. Another favourite moment was when I had walked down the aisle and came to Ricky’s side he had tears streaming down his face. These were just two very special moments in a very special day.
(Christy) THERE IS ONLY ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE OUR DAY – MAGICAL. IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN ANY BETTER. HAVING EVERYTHING AT ONE LOCATION MEANT OUR GUESTS COULD JUST RELAX AND “GREENACRES” WAS JUST THE MOST SPECIAL PLACE TO GET MARRIED.
Our cake was a mud cake from the Cheesecake shop and the ornament on top of our wedding cake was called “Oh no you don’t”. It was a picture of a bride dragging her groom along the floor. Rick actually saw it in a magazine and we thought it was just a fun thing to have on our cake. We hadn’t seen another cake with it on and we were trying to make our wedding day as different, unique and special as possible.
SERGE and ANNIE
I never imagined myself getting married….let alone getting engaged after 5 weeks then marrying after 5 months to a French guy! Just like the movies hey……younger guy, he’s French……wow! We met at the local pub, we got engaged at the local pub and after our hen’s night and buck’s night we got banned from the local pub…..but that’s another story!
My name is Annie and I’m 28, my husband’s name is Serge and he is 24. The night Serge met my father was the night he asked my father for my hand in marriage. Boy was Dad shocked!.....and again that’s another story! Serge’s family, including his mum, his step-dad, his brother and his brother’s fiancé all came to Australia for the big day. I had never met his family so it was a very exciting time for me and for my family to meet them and we would all join and become one big happy family.
We couldn’t have asked for a better wedding. It was quite small, beautiful and just so special! Our wedding was set in the beautiful surroundings of the Mt Coot-tha Botanic Gardens. What made it even more beautiful was that it had been raining for approximately 2 weeks up until our wedding day. Everything was so green. It was just magnificent! We never rehearsed our wedding. We didn’t see the point. Its something you only do once in your life. What’s meant to be is meant to be. We just went for it. Absolutely nothing went wrong…..well except for the heals of my shoes sinking into the wet soil under the grass after 2 weeks of rain but who cares, the backdrop of our wedding was stunning!
our wedding day is one of the most special days you will experience in your life. The whole day is about you and your husband to be. I absolutely loved having someone do my hair and make-up, having the most wonderful photos taken, photos that you will cherish forever. Our wedding day was perfect to us. If we could do it all over again we would not change a single thing. Having your family and closest friends around you to share one of the most special days in your life is a blast! You don’t invite people because you want to have a massive wedding. You invite people who you know will remember your special day just the way you will. Our favourite part of the day was of course marrying each other but also to look out and see our families and our closest friends look at us with tears in their eyes, with big smiles on their faces and to be so happy for both of us.
Then of course the after party! ….and then to top it all off, when we saw the wedding photos it just made everything perfect….the icing on the cake. Thanks so much Robert for capturing the most special day in our lives! Newly wed advice: All we can say is don’t hold back, go for it! If you meet someone that makes you feel so special, like you are the only one in the world, who you know would do anything for you and you would do anything for them…..hold on tight and don’t let them go, no matter what!

20th October 2007
Saturday 20th October – The day was perfect, the sun was shining and love was in the air!
It was a beautiful setting of the golf coarse gardens and ponds as a backdrop. Our closest family and friends surrounded us and we used our long time family friend as our celebrant who made it even more special and intimate.
My dress was absolutely gorgeous – exactly what I’d dreamed of! I bought it from a great boutique bridal store on Logan Road in Mount Gravatt. Anabella, the owner of the store, whom I purchased the dress from, was so lovely and very helpful. I had some changes done to the original design and it came back well on time and perfect, nothing was too much trouble!
Canapés and drinks were served in the outdoor alfresco area of The Glade’s Restaurant with Latin rhythms playing. Then it was into the function room which looked over the golf course for the remainder of the evening. Everyone enjoyed a good boogie with our wedding band called Altotude who were fantastic musicians and very professional.
Everything ran smoothly on the day and we enjoyed it all! It was truly a beautiful day – one we will never forget!

6th October 2007
My husband Guy and I were married on 6th Oct 2007 on the sand island of South
Stradbroke. Guy and our guests, many who had come
from the UK, arrived at the island on the grand Tall Ship, the Sir Henry Morgan. I made my exciting entrance with my father and bridesmaid by helicopter. Our ceremony took place on the beach in the shade of a large gum tree with the sun glinting off the calm Broadwater. Our ceremony was perfect; we were surrounded by our loved ones and used personalized vows we had written our selves with the help of our celebrant, Kate Guiney.
After the ceremony we went with our photographer Julie from Julie Collins Photography, to the surf side of the island for some more intimate pictures. Julie made us feel so relaxed; we both felt it was like a friend we had known for years taking our pictures. After our wonderful buffet dinner, we were treated to some up close and personal time with the wild wallabies that found their way to our reception. Our night was topped off with a surprise firework display on the water organized by our parents, a magical end to a fairytale day. …The magic of our special day came flooding back to us when we received the amazing images from Julie Collins Photography.

Letitia & Adrian 25th August 2007
Our Love Story
"Recently Letitia was telling me about how Adrian and her met and it really is one of those love stories us girls always like to hear. We were talking about ‘the spark’ that seems to be one of the things most girls tend to mention when reflecting on where their love story began.
In September 2003 Letitia was leaving for a P&O Cruise with a few friends and was joking to everyone how she would find the man of her dreams, her perfect match and was really stretching out the imagination of the fairy tale romance she was hoping to have. I’m sure you can all relate to that!
On the first day aboard the ship, Letitia and her friends watched eagerly from the deck as people boarded and in the midst of the crowds she spotted a tall, dark and handsome man. Could it be Mr Right? Well this man who caught her eye was Adrian. Yes it seems to be that it was definitely love at first sight. Over the cause of the cruise Letitia and Adrian met in person and they hit if off straight away.
Adrian was surprised that Letitia could even describe exactly what he was wearing that first day, oh… and his muscles! Yes, us woman are renowned for remembering the special little details.
Letitia and Adrian even managed to squeeze in a good old fashioned ‘first kiss’ on the deck of the P&O one night in the middle of the ocean, under the moonlight… Sounds like a romantic scene in "The Titanic". It was funny too when Letitia said she was texting her friends back home to say she had actually found the man of her dreams on the cruise… Everything she had been joking about had actually happened.
It didn’t take long for the romance to blossom and by January 2004, Letitia had moved from Melbourne to Adrian’s home town of Brisbane to see where their relationship may lead.
They were smitten with each other and ‘the spark’ they felt in that first week was still clearly evident to everyone on their beautiful wedding day. Even their celebrant mentioned how they stood out to her as being such a perfect match and how they were obviously so ‘in love’. It was a very touching marriage ceremony. I was so proud to be a part of their special day."

A NOTE FROM THE BRIDE
"We were married at Boulevard Gardens in Indooroopilly on 25 August 2007 and had our reception in their Walter Taylor Room. Boulevard Gardens did an outstanding job; we are still receiving compliments from guests on both the food and the service.
Our Pianist/DJ was Nathan Seiler. Boulevard Gardens had recommended him to us, and he is definitely a wedding supplier who still stands out. He provided the music during our ceremony, sang beautifully during dinner and had everyone up on the dance floor after the speeches.
Our Photographer was Yohti from New Life Photographics. We saw a sample album and once we met her, her obvious love for weddings and photography in general made her the lady for the job. It was a pleasure to spend the day with her, and we are extremely pleased with the results. She captured our day perfectly and was very flexible when creating our Wedding Package.
I was told that there is always something which doesn’t go according to plan. In my case, it was the florist who let me down. At the end of the day, the smaller things are not important. My advice would be that you have to go with the flow, and enjoy the day for what it is.
We had a wonderful day, and are enjoying re-living it through our photos and dvd."
